KUALA LUMPUR - MIC lodges a police report regarding statements made by Batu incumbent MP Prabakaran Parameswaran who claims to have been offered RM10 million to jump ship.

The statement was allegedly made by Prabakaran in a recent talk before it went viral after a 35-second video was uploaded via the TikTok platform through the @keadilancabangbatu account.

Federal Territories MIC chairman Datuk S Rajah when met denied the allegations and described the statement as a desperate move to win votes.

"I want to let you know that no individual offered RM10 million to him, it doesn't make sense, it's slander.

"He seems to have no capital and he said he got an offer from MIC, this is a bad slander," he said when met after he lodged a report at the Sentul District Police Headquarters (IPD) on Tuesday.

However, S Rajah insisted that his party would be tolerant if Prabakaran retracted the statement and apologised.

"We have room for discretion, if he withdraws his statement and apologises professionally, we will withdraw the report," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Sentul District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Beh Eng Lai when met confirmed that he had received the report and the investigation was carried out in accordance with Section 500 of the Penal Code.
