SHAH ALAM - Former Batu MP Tian Chua says that “I am my own man, I am Tian Chua” in response to the perception of him being as Bersatu Datuk Seri Azmin Ali’s man.

In an exclusive interview on Sinar Daily TV's Fireside Chat, he shared that some people thought he was very close to Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail because he served her as PKR president the longest, even longer than when Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was in the post.

“I was close to Nurul Izzah, I was close to various figures. People even said who said that I’m not friendly with Rafizi Ramli just because of this election, but I was there when he emerged as a new star in PKR,” he revealed his side of the story.

“Definitely, people also know that in the last party election, I fully supported Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution and we were are still friends,” Tian Chua added.

“I think one day, when history records all these events, they sould still remember our friendship," he added.

Tian Chua added that the party founders all had contributed to this struggle and perhaps had taken final concluding road in a different way.

"But we cannot deny, all of us had contributed to the history of the struggle,” he added.

Azmin was previously PKR's deputy president and went on to join Bersatu after the Sheraton Move in 2020.
