GE15: Noh Omar disappointed for being dropped as Tanjong Karang candidate

Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omas has expressed dissapointment over the party's decision to not name him as a candidate for the 15th General Election (GE15) for the Tanjong Karang parliamentary seat.
In a statement last night, he weighed that his culling from the Barisan Nasional's (BN) GE15 candidate roster might have stemmed from false accusations towards him.
He said, “If they told me, Noh, you have been ruling for six terms, and Selangor does not have enough quota for female candidates, then I have no problem with that.
“I am disappointed and sad that’s all. I was not informed. I waited since they promised to see me, I waited the whole day but I was not called for discussion,” he said.
Noh also said that he knows Tanjong Karang inside out, and it is only appropriate if they discuss the matter with him regarding the decision.
Nevertheless, Noh mentioned that he is grateful to hold the seat for six terms.
“I am not sad for not being a candidate but I am disappointed when they put me aside like an old rag,” he said.
