Its president Tan Sri SA Vigneshwaran said MIC Supreme Council members have accepted decision on seat allocation.
"I would like to inform that after BN announced MIC Parliamentary candidates, the MIC Supreme Council members decided that it was a decision by the BN leadership.
“What is boycotting? We did not boycott BN, we have decided to engage as long our seats are not affected,” he during a press conference after a close door meeting at MIC headquarters, here, today.
When asked on swapping Parliamentary seats for the elections, Vigneshwaran said the coalition is considered like a big family and to help one another.
“For Sungai Buloh, we swapped the seats with Umno candidate, Khairy Jamaluddin since we find him as a suitable candidate to woo urban Malays.
“This is what we call a family relationship, a family swap in GE15,” he stressed.
MIC will be contesting in Bagan Serai, Sungai Siput, Kapar, Teluk Intan, Hulu Selangor, Kota Raja, Kuala Langat, Batu, Port Dickson and Segamat Parliamentary seats.
