KUALA LUMPUR: As Perikatan Nasional (PN) is expected to announce its candidates for 15th General Election (GE15) today, the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) turns blue as members and supporters started to gather as early as 8pm.

An estimation of 3,000 members and supporters of PN were were seen walking into the exhibition centre, with some heard chanting their support for their respective candidates.

Among the chants heard were “Hidup, Radzi Jidin” (Long live, Radzi Jidin) from the entrance of the premises towards the hall.

At 8.40pm, Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was seen arriving at the exhibition hall with his supporters greeted by a welcoming party who played musical instruments.

Muhyiddin was expected to make the announcement of the candidates tonight, which would subsequently end the guessing games of who was contesting for which seats.

Earlier, Negeri Sembilan Bersatu chief Tan Sri Rais Yatim was also seen arriving around 8.15pm.

He was said to be contesting for the Jelebu seat.
