GE15: GRS-BN to announce its candidates tomorrow

KOTA KINABALU - Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Sabah BN will announce their candidates simultaneously at a hotel here, tomorrow.

Based on an invitation released to the media by GRS and BN today, the parties informed the announcement would be held simultaneously.

The announcement was expected to begin at 2pm and would be attended by GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Sabah BN Chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

In the programme, both leaders were expected to give speeches before the announcement as well as the ‘watikah’ would be given to the candidates.

Both parties previously were involved in the coalition in Sabah with BN, and it had reached an agreement on the division of Parliamentary seats in the state.

The division of seats for the 15th General Election (GE15) had its own formula that was agreed upon by both parties in the coalition.

As of now, the parties under the Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition announced as many as 24 Parliamentary seats that they will contest while Warisan announced as many as 12 of their candidates so far.

Warisan would contest in all 26 seats including Labuan and was also scheduled to announce their candidates on Thursday, in Kota Kinabalu.
