SHAH ALAM - Alor Gajah remains a DAP seat and due to that former PKR Machap Jaya state assemblyman Ginie Lim's request to contest in the area was rejected, said PKR elections director Rafizi Ramli.

Rafizi, the Pandan candidate said Lim’s move to contest in Alor Gajah can be deemed as ‘no brainer’.

“It is almost like Pasir Salak with 95 per cent Malay voters and suddenly MCA demands to contest.

“We are trying to win an election and we must make sure that every seat contested has the most strength,” he told Sinar Daily.

Furthermore, Rafizi said DAP has been contesting in Alor Gajah since last four general elections.

Commenting further, he said it may be selfish for Lim to expect him to go out his way and pick a fight with DAP just because she was keen in the seat when it is not even a PKR-owned seat.

“It is not your seat, it is not PKR's seat (but) if it is PKR seat then I can consider.

“For you to expect me to pick a fight with DAP and Amanah just because you want the seat, that's very selfish,” he claimed.

Alor Gajah PKR had requested to field Lim, the division chief in the parliamentary seat for the 15th general election.
