GE15: Khaled Nordin headed to Kota Tinggi?

PASIR GUDANG - Umno Vice President Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin may be contesting in the Kota Tinggi parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15).

The former Johor Menteri Besar said he had no issues contesting there so long as he can represent Umno.

"I leave it to the leadership on choosing where I am placed to compete.

"Its not the first time I'm contesting, I represent Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno, not myself," he said.

He said this after word got out that he was listed in the Johor BN candidate list, which had 26 parliamentary seats.

Khaled, who is the Pasir Gudang Umno chief, said this at the opening ceremony of Umno brach D'Rimba, Seri Alam here on Saturday.

In GE14, Khaled lost to Hassan Abdul Karim in a four-cornered fight.

Hassan, who is from PKR, won with majority of 24,726 votes.

The othe two candidates were Ab Aziz Abdullah from Pas and independent candidate Chee Jock.

Khaled said all these questions will be answered once Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announce the list of candidates, which was currently being finalised.
