GE15: Altimet refuses to be a candidate, wants to gain experience first

AMPANG - Rapper Altimet who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Ampang branch chief refuses to be a candidate contesting in the 15th General Election (GE15).

This, he said was because he was not ready to take on such a big challenge.

"I still have a lot to learn and I have to gain more experience, so I'm pushing it aside first," he told Sinar Harian on Friday.

Altimet or his real name Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman said this after the announcement of the PKR candidate at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Counci (MPAJ) field in Taman Kosas, here.

During the event which was attended by about 2,500 people, Batu Tiga assemblyman Rodziah Ismail was announced as a candidate for the Ampang Parliament, facing Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) president Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin.

Meawhile, Altimet said he would help the party win the election.
