KUALA LUMPUR - When the time comes, we strive as a family for justice in the country, says former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

The wife of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said although her family had different visions and goals, they intended to join hands to protect the country.

“We are bonded as a family.

“Nurul Izzah had her own career path but when the time comes, we all jumped in together.

“Because justice, quality and the future of the country was more important in life,” she said after attended a walkabout with her supporters at Bandar Tun Razak’s food court here today.

Wan Azizah answered this when asked what makes herself, Anwar Ibrahim and Nurul Izzah worked together as a family despite political critics.

Wan Azizah who is also the Pandan MP incumbent said that her family stood firmly and fought for justice of the country when her husband faced injustice.

“He was sacked, put in jail and beaten up, don’t forget that.
