GE15: PN begs Umno not to do national poll this year, but Umno didn't care

PUTRAJAYA - Malaysians were once reminded by Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders of Umno's purported arrogance in paying little heed to its former allies's caution on triggering a national poll during the monsoon season.

“We begged them to not have GE15 during flood as it will be affecting the people, but Umno paid no attention," recounted Pribumi Bersatu vice-president Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin during a speech at rally here, tonight

“The PN ministers asked for consideration since there were plenty of time for the election to be held but it was all ignored. They (Umno) didn’t care about the people,” Radzi added.

Radzi who is also the Caretaker Senior Minister (Education) also praised PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin’s leadership in handling the country during the Covid-19 pandemic which crippled the entire world.

“No prime minister in Malaysia has ever managed two crises at the same time; which were the economic and health crises.

“But Muhyddin took care of Malaysia when the whole world had no idea how to manage the Covid-19 situation,” Radzi claimed.

Also present at the event were PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin, Pas Youth Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari and Gerakan Parti President Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.
