It’s okay to not support us but don’t use violence, Syed Saddiq says
SHAH ALAM - Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman takes his frustration to Facebook over series of provocations that the party has been dealing with for the past few weeks.
Last week, as he gave a speech in Muar, he got heckled by a group of motorcyclists who disrupted the event.
Yesterday, the second commotion took place during another talk organised by Muda but this time, a group of men in masks threw firecrackers and bottles at the event.
"This time the people are pushing as well as throwing bottles and firecrackers.
"Some were injured, some guest's cars were damaged," he said in his Facebook post.
He added that Muda is strongly against the political culture of gangsterism.
"If you don't support (us), it's okay but do not use violence.
"Use arguments (hujah) instead," he added.
He further said that police reports have been made together with the proofs of both incidents.
"We will leave it to the police to handle the investigation.
"Thank you to the police for their help in this provocative incidents," he said.
