SEREMBAN - Caretaker Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar is close to identifying the seat he will contest in the 15th General Election (GE15).

He refused to explain in detail regarding the seat he meant following it was not finalised by the BN leadership.

"The area is sure to be an unsafe seat and is now held by the opposing party, we want to try and win it back.

"Nothing is final, we will wait and see, insyaAllah we will all play a role in the party. If we all went to the unsafe areas, we will not be able to spread our agenda.

“We must be prepared to go to the seats that we may have lost before," he said.

He said such at the press conference after the Keluarga Malaysia Device Distribution Programme at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM) Seremban Campus Branch earlier.

When asked if the seat was in Negeri Sembilan, Khairy who was also the Rembau Parliamentary seat incumbent refused to comment further and said it was up to the public to make their speculations.

"There were those (seats) won before, some were never won in the previous election," he said.

Sinar Harian previously reported Khairy stating he was open to allowing Rembau Parliamentary seat to the Umno Deputy Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan or Tok Mat during his closing speech at the Rembau Umno Division Delegate Meeting Conference.

Mohamad announced Khairy would be given a suitable seat in GE15 following Khairy being a youth leadership that has his calibre and is great for the country.
