Apologise, Umno tells Syed Saddiq after alleged provocation claims
JOHOR BAHRU - Muda President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman needs to apologise to BN and Umno over the allegations made during Muda’s Mega Ceramah in Muar on Sunday.
State BN GE15 Operations Director Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi denied the claims and explained the Muar MP's claims were made as if to bring down the image of Umno and BN.
He said Syed Saddiq needed to be responsible for his reckless accusation and provocation to spread hatred from the people towards Umno and BN.
“The baseless accusation had also been denied by Muar Umno Youth Chief Mohd Helmy Abd Latif.
"Stop these immature politics, I urge him to openly apologise to Umno and BN immediately," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
On Monday, Helmy made a police report on the issue on top of a possible lawsuit action towards Syed Saddiq's claims that they were involved with the disturbance at the talk attended by the incumbent Muar MP on Sunday.
Helmy was reported to have said that Syed Saddiq claimed the Umno Youth as the mastermind who caused the provocation and disturbance at the Muar Muda Mega Ceramah.
Hafiz said he carefully observed what Syed Saddiq stated in the viral video since yesterday.
"In his Muar Speech, he recklessly without any motion for investigation, evidence and witness, slandered Umno and BN causing the commotion at the ceramah.
"The accusation is extreme and I firmly deny it," he said.
