MUAR - Muar Umno youth has denied being involved in a provocation at Mega Muar Ceramah by Muda in Parit Jawa, here, Sunday night.

Muar Umno division youth chief Helmy Latif said : "Many asked me if it was true that Muar Umno youth did it (the provocation).

"I swear there was no orders from me. I am against it, we have no time for it," he said through a tweet today.

On Sunday, the ceramah held by Muda saw a group of 'mat motor' during Muda President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman's speech.

The group of 'mat motor" were said to have provoked by creating noise using their motorbikes in front of the ceramah area. Two viral video clips with a duration of 1 minute 31 seconds and 45 seconds each showed a group of men on motorcycles disrupting the Ceramah Muda.

However, no untoward incident took place after police and volunteers took control of the situation.

In the same tweet, Helmy said Umno rejects any unhealthy political provocation.

"As the Muar Umno Youth Chief, I stand firm on rejecting politicking through provocation such as this, paid or not it is an unhealthy culture.

"Iif we want to fight, fight with the correct ideology. We should bring the country to a better direction," he said.
