GE15: Decide wisely, Syed Saddiq tells youths
SHAH ALAM - Youth are told to choose wisely this elections for a better future, Muda president Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman.
"I want a nation with integrity with proper development and welfare taken care of.
"The reality now is two-third of the youth want to leave the country if they have the chance and 71 per cent of them want to work instead of furthering their studies after SPM," he said.
This is because graduates are paid low salaries and face high study loans.
Syed Saddiq said this during a Mega Muar Ceramah at Muda headquarters in Muar, last night.
Other speakers Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and Muda information chief, Luqman Long.
Meanwhile, Syed Saddiq touched on early days after the pandemic hit the country which saw people losing jobs and without food.
"I still remember during the pandemic where people had lost the source of income and came to me for food basket.
"Also when children whose parents were from another party, we also lend our hand to them by distributing free laptops as they were among the needs (schools were close and to facilitate online studies)," he said.
He urged the rakyat to choose wisely as their decision during the coming elections will have an impact on the future generations.
