One PPS opened in Kuala Perlis

KANGAR - A total of 16 flood victims from four families were moved to a temporary evacuation centre (PPS) at the Kampung Teluk surau in Kuala Perlis, near here, after their homes were inundated at about 8.30 pm today.

Perlis Civil Defence Force (APM) director Lt Col (PA) Mohd Izaimi Mohd Daud said they received a report regarding the flood at about 10 pm.

"Nine men, six women and a girl have been placed at this PPS,” he said when contacted by Bernama, adding that the victims would be provided with assistance by the Perlis Social Welfare Department (JKM) personnel. - BERNAMA
