Mechamato Robot Battle now available on Roblox

KUALA LUMPUR - Local animation studio Monsta today announced the launch of its new immersive experiences in the metaverse mega-platform Roblox, called Mechamato Robot Battle, an online gaming-space where fans and players can explore the vast open world of Kota Hilir, as seen on Mechamato: The Animated Series.

Monsta's Chief Operating Officer Kee Yong Pin said after the release of the animated series, Monsta is committed to dive into the metaverse space and is delighted to launch the game on Roblox to serve millions of its existing fans and new audiences from across the globe.

"Roblox is one of the largest and fastest growing platforms in the metaverse. We are aware that kids nowadays are spending loads of time there.

"Therefore, we want to create a new and immersive experience that will excite them, especially to those who’ve enjoyed Mechamato: The Animated Series,” he said in a statement today.

In the game, the peaceful town of Kota Hilir is being terrorised by a legion of bad robots and the town is in dire need of a superhero to battle and capture all the bad robots. With this concept, Monsta is providing an extended experience from the main plot of the story in the new game.

Mechamato Robot Battle will embark players on an open world experience, including a virtual store of unique merchandise which would allow players to customise their avatars and equip themselves with awesome ‘Mechanized’ items.

Players will also get to battle and capture a bunch of bad robots as seen on the Mechamato: The Animated Series. ‘Unlockable Badges’ are tokens that can be earned through various challenges and mini quests that are available in the game. - BERNAMA
