SHAH ALAM – Islamic party Pas says it has rejected any form of political cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH) due to its liberal views and moral beliefs.

Its President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang further claimed there are parties in PH who reject Islam, the role of the Malay Rulers and support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT).

"Why did Pas reject PH... why Pas rejects Barisan Nasional (BN)... Why Pas is working with Perikatan Nasional (PN)," he was quoted in Agenda Daily.

"Why, in it (PH) there is DAP... there's a Malay party... those who reject Islam... LGBT (supporters) ...traitors... those who give bribes and accept bribes... and even reject the King.

"(LGBT) allows men to marry men... the same sex, women marry women... this cannot be allowed, this is not (identity) of our society," he was further quoted.

Due to that, he said Pas rejects any form of cooperation with PH," Hadi said.

Hadi further claimed that there were parties in PH who not only asked for bribes but also offered bribes.

"They speak out against anti-corruption but they accept donations from people who offer bribes. They are fighting to curb corruption, accuse Umno of corruption but they are not fighting other forms of 'destruction' (atrocities)," he added.

The former Marang MP also said Pas has cut off cooperation with BN in the 15th General Election (GE-15) as its leader was involved in corruption.

PN consists of Pas, Gerakan, SAPP and STAR.
