GE15: Saifuddin Nasution hints his candidacy
DIANA AZISSHAH ALAM - PKR Secretary General, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail hints that he will contest in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Saifuddin -- who was Kulim-Bandar Baharu MP said -- said that he is happy to return and work with the team to continue PKR's struggle.
"In facing GE15 this time, I feel calm. I enjoy working in a team. We make the most of our gifts and complement each others' shortcomings. That is the beauty of it.
"Hopefully, this GE15 promises a victory for PH (Pakatan Harapan)," he said in a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
In the same posting, Saifuddin who is also the Secretary General of PH shared his experiences since he started venturing into electoral bouts.
"I started getting involved, back in the Padang Terap by-election in 1985. (The late) Tun Syed Ahmad Al Haj Syed Mahmud Shahabudin (at that time) was appointed Governor of Malacca.
"Ustaz Halim Arshat (Pas) against Baharom Bakar (Umno). My job is to organize group talks, distribute leaflets, door-to-door campaigns and take care of the operation room. I helped Halim under late Suhaimi Said. The voting district was Felda Lubuk Merbau.
"From there, there were countless more involvements in general elections and by-elections. As a machinery, director and candidate, I have gone through everything, it was an experience that cannot be obtained in a lecture hall," he said.
