DAP selection committee has not met on candidates and seats yet
SHAH ALAM - DAP’s top leadership has yet to meet and decide on candidates and seat allocations.
Its social media bureau chairman Syahredzan Johan told Sinar Daily that the party will decide following the dissolution of Parliament today.
He expressed hope that things will turn out “fine” despite continuous warnings about #UndiBanjir.
"Despite all warnings about #UndiBanjir, PM went ahead to seek dissolution.
"Will we be fine? I hope so," he said.
Meanwhile, DAP’s Ong Kian Ming alluded that Syahredzan might be succeeding him as the new Bangi MP in a Twitter post after the dissolution announcement.
Ong expressed his honour in serving the voters of Balakong, Kajang and Bangi for more than four years and mentioned that he will try his best to campaign for his successor to defend the DAP and Pakatan Harapan (PH) seat, in which he tagged Syahredzan.
When asked about this, Syahredzan only said the Selection Committee had not met.
"Last evening as a Member of Parliament for P102 Bangi? If so, it has been an honour serving the voters of Balakong, Kajang and Bangi for the past four and a half years.
"Apologies for my shortcomings. I will be campaigning hard for my successor to defend the seat for DAP and PH," he said.
Ketari assemblyman Young Syefura Othman said she was ready to go “all out” and face the 15th General Election (GE15).
In a statement, she invited all Malaysians to come together with PH and throw Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional out and ensure they never return.
"Come on Malaysians! Go out to vote.
“Defend the fate and dignity of the country that has increasingly been tattered due to the greed of power-crazy leaders!," she said.
