SHAH ALAM - The statement demanding for all Barisan Nasional (BN) ministers to resign from the Cabinet as the top leadership in Umno was allegedly disappointed over the failure to dissolve the Parliament is false.

The clarification was issued by BN via its Facebook page, Media BN, today.

It was pruportedly claimed that BN Cabinet ministers were ordered to withdraw their support from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob before the presentation of Budget 2023 given how the Parliament would have already collapsed by then.

Today, Ismail Sabri had an hour-long meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

Shortly after that, Ismail Sabri met with the 'Top 5' Umno at Menara Dato' Onn, World Trade Center (WTC) Kuala Lumpur.

Istana Negara confirmed that the Agong agreed to meet Ismail Sabri to discuss on matters concerning the pre-Cabinet meeting.

Such meeting is a weekly routine where the Agong gets briefed by, discussed and exchange opinions with the Prime Minister regarding affairs and issues relating to the government.
