TENOM - Well-known preacher Ebit Lew who is facing sexual harassment charges says the court is the most suitable place to reveal the truth after he was accused of sexual harassment.

Lew, 37 said he has been waiting for the four-day trial that ended today since last year.

"Alhamdulillah with it reaching the court hopefully the truth will be known. I am grateful that it reached the court," he said when met by reporters on Friday.

He said he is glad that the trial has began. However, the proceedings will now continue on December 20 to 22.

"Sad to wait again. If possible I would like it to continue tomorrow but I am not the one who decides.

"Our lawyers Ram and others asked for earlier dates in November. But the public prosecutor could not get the dates because he has other cases in Putrajaya, so we agreed in December.

The trial since Tuesday had called three witness from the prosecution including a preacher Firdaus Wong, 39.

Lew faces 11 charges involving sexual harassment under Section 509 of the Penal Code among which he was accused of insulting the modesty of a woman by sending obscene photos and words to the victim's phone number via the WhatsApp application.

Lew is represented by lawyers Ram Singh, Kamarudin Mohmad Chinki, Timothy Daut, Kimberly Ye Wanchuin and Chen Wen Jye.

The case was heard before magistrate Nur Asyraf Zolhani.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutors Nor Azizah Mohamad, Muhammad Ilmami Ahmad, Zahida Zakaria, Adibah Saiful Bahri and Nur Masrin Amalia.
