BENTONG – A foreign national woman linked to a kidnapping case will be charged at the magistrate's court in Raub, here, tomorrow morning.

Bentong district police chief Zaiham Mohd Kahar in a statement today said the 42-year-old foreigner will be charged under Section 350 of the Penal Code.

The prison sentence can be up to three months or the fine can be up to rm 1,000.00 or both, if found guilty.

Last week police detained two women, both foreigners, to assist in investigations over a viral TikTok video that claimed that a child was almost kidnapped in Genting Highlands.

Zaiham had said the suspects, aged 42 and 50, were detained at about 11.30am, two days after the child’s father, who is a Malaysian, lodged a police report.

On Monday, a 22-second TikTok video, under the user name @alfitry_azimi52, claimed that a child was almost abducted at the resort.

The video was also uploaded on the Facebook Daily Traffic Report account.
