Positive lead on cosmetic agent kidnapping case, police say
TANAH MERAH – Police investigation into the kidnapping case of a cosmetic agent has shown a positive development.
Kelantan Acting Police Chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki said further details could not be shared regarding the developments of the case where 36-year-old Rosnazirah Mohd Naim was kidnapped.
He said the Kelantan and Thailand police were in contact to investigate the case.
"Efforts are being made by the police and is confident towards the case.
“The Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani himself is attentive towards the case and always asks on the development.
"Kelantan police continued the relationship with the neighbouring country's authorities and there was a positive development," he said when met after Friday prayers at the Community Policing programme at Masjid As-Syakirin, here.
He hoped for the public's cooperation and advised not to make any speculations regarding the ongoing case.
"Sometimes there are matters that we can't share, but insyaallah we will receive good news, together we pray," he said.
Last Tuesday, the victim, Rosnazirah was kidnapped by a group of men in a Toyota Vios car in front of her house in Kampung Semat Jal, Tumpat at 5.10pm.
The victim was believed to have been taken to Thailand.
Police’s initial investigations found that the victim’s husband might have been linked to drug smuggling activities.
