Being Me: Love Me More event to discuss topics surrounding self-love, coping with adversity and more
Take a moment to reflect on your deens with the Love Me More talks that includes sharing sessions featuring religious speakers such as Ustadha Farhat Naik, Ustadha Umm Hud, Ustadha Nurul Asyiqin, Dr Atiyah Azmi and Mizz Nina.
The half-day event will be covering the topics surrounding seeking knowledge, coping with adversity in life, selfcare and self love, motherhood, da’wah and mental health at Matrade Hall, Mecc on Sunday (Sept 25) at 10am until 2pm.
More about the speakers, Farhat Naik is a mother of three and an active advocate of women’s empowerment in Islamic perspective and has delivered many public talks in English and Urdu exclusively for women as well as had lecture tours around the world.
She has empowered Muslim women from all walks of life, guiding them to fulfill their true purpose and helping them rise above the challenges of today’s world as well as referring to the Qur’an and Authentic Hadith as her basis.
Meanwhile, Umm Hud is an engineer by training and is pursuing her Advanced Diploma in Islamic Studies in Arees University and a student of Quranic Arabic Studies at Bayyinah Institute and has taught in Islamic schools for eight years.
She is also giving classes at Global Life Centre (GLC) at Simpang Pulai, Ipoh.
Nurul Asyiqin holds a Bachelor's of Islamic Law (Arabic) Degree from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Fiqh & Usul Fiqh at International Islamic University Malaysia.
She is currently teaching Islamic Studies at Seven Skies International School, Denai Alam and has given talks to various occasions in the youth community in Egypt and Malaysia and is active in a few NGO bodies.
Dr Atiyah Azmi also known as Mama Tiyah, is a mother of five children and graduated with a medical degree from IIUM.
She then ventured into the world of personal development, education, and modest fashion as a passionate person in advocating for positive parenting education.
Last but not least, Shazrina Azman or Mizz Nina is a former hip hop artist but she made her hijrah upon returning from Haj in 2013 and is now focusing on spreading Da'wah through media, technology and humanitarian efforts.
She is also the co-founder of Islamic lifestyle YouTube channel ‘Dopstv’, Islamic lifestyle app “QALBY”, Ra’e Ventures & Min QALBY Foundation as well as a book author of her debut book ‘Light for the lost soul - seeking contentment for the troubled heart.’
With Sinar Daily as the official media partner, the five-hour programme will see four segments of different topics such as Love ME more, Becoming Me, Such is Life... Yet I rise and ME, Myself and I which will be touching on distinct daily issues that most people are struggling with.
Among the issues that the speakers will be talking about are understanding the purpose of our existence in this dunya, how to stay positive and determined when making difficult choices in life, how we can cope with adversity and what we should do when facing one as well as self-love.
