Pray for Rosnazirah’s safety, family of kidnapped cosmetic agent pleads

TUMPAT - The family of a kidnapped cosmetic agent in Kampung Semat Jal here asked Malaysians to pray for the woman’s safety and that all accusations would stop.

The victim’s 25-year-old younger brother said they had not received any news regarding Rosnazirah Mohd Naim, 36, and were hoping for good news.

He said that their parents continued to grieve and cry over the incident until they could not sleep because they were worried about Rosnazirah’s safety who had been kidnapped since September 13.

“We are sad, my father and mother are crying non-stop and get sadder when we read the accusations of netizens against my sister on social media while we as a family are looking forward to the development of good news from the victim.

“I am asking everyone to please stop all slander and accusations against my sister, instead I request that Malaysians pray for her safety,” he said when met at his home in Kampung Semat Jal here on Friday.

The victim’s younger brother also asked for cooperation from all parties to stop spreading pictures of the victim which were taken from the woman’s Facebook account with ill-intentions.

“We are working with the police to change the private mode of the victim’s Facebook account so that his photos are not used arbitrarily.

“The victim has a 13-year-old daughter who is also still sad and traumatised by seeing her mother taken by a group of armed men in her own home and often asks me about the validity of the accusations against her mother on social media,” he said.

The victim’s younger brother was also sad and upset when netizens attacked his sister’s Facebook page with abusive and obscene words.

According to the 10th child out of 11 siblings, he was very close to the victim because they took care of their parents together.

He is also a cosmetic sales agent like Rosnazirah.

“My sister is a gentle person, she even got scared and cried when watching a violent movie, so I cannot imagine how traumatised she is right now,” he said.

He also admitted that his family were just ordinary villagers who had ran a cendol business at Pasar Wakaf Bharu here for more than 30 years.

Meanwhile, Thailand police raided a house on the edge of Sungai Golok in Takbai in Narathiwat province in an effort to locate Rosnazirah.

Sources said the authorities received information about the house occupied by the suspect and conducted a raid.

“When the police raided on Thursday, the house was found empty.

“Operations will continue to be carried out to help locate the victims,” ​​he told reporters here on Friday.

The source said Thailand and Malaysian police in Kelantan had worked together to share intel in an effort to track down the victims.

On Tuesday, the victim, Rosnazirah Mohd Naim, 36, who is also a cosmetics sales agent, was kidnapped by a group of men in a Toyota Vios car in front of her house in Kampung Semat Jal, Tumpat at 5.10pm.

The incident was recorded by a closed circuit camera (CCTV) at the victim’s house.

Some residents reported that they saw the victim being taken on a boat to Thailand and the car involved was found at 10pm the same day in Kampung Kuala Jambu.

On Thursday, the Kelantan police contingent was informed that the kidnapping case was related to a drug syndicate.

Following that, three individuals aged 35 to 47 including the victim’s husband were detained to assist in the investigation.
