SHAH ALAM – The Selangor state flag will be flown at half-mast from Saturday until Monday as a mark of respect for Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Sept 8.

Selangor state secretary Datuk Haris Kasim in a statement today said that this was in line with Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s directive.

“All Departments and Agencies in the State of Selangor will heed to the decree and fly the flags at half-mast,” the statement read.

On Sept 8, Buckingham Palace announced the death of the longest-reigning monarch in British history at Balmoral, Scotland.

She was 96.
