Najib may be referred to IJN later today, says lawyer

KUALA LUMPUR - Datuk Seri Najib Razak may be referred to Kuala Lumpur National Heart Institute (IJN) today.

Najib's lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah said this during the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) RM2.3 billion corruption and money laundering charges at the High Court today.

Shafee said the former prime minister's blood pressure was reported to be unstable condition and the cause remains unknown.

"Najib will undergo health screening and the results will be known in a few days," he said.
