SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 1,964 new Covid-19 cases including seven imported cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours.

Data published by the health ministry showed that with the recent three deaths, the total number of deaths in the country are now at 36,277 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there were 26,949 active Covid-19 cases in the country, with 95.2 per cent of patients or 25,648 individuals being quarantined at home.

Out of the total number, 1,224 individuals were hospitalised, with 49 still requiring ventilation support.

The ministry also recorded 2,389 recoveries.

To date, Malaysia recorded 4,803,624 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
