POLITICALLY FRANK: Umno Kelantan to have manifesto ready to win the state

SHAH ALAM - Umno Kelantan will have their manifesto ready once dissolution of Parliament takes place and the politcal arena is set for the 15th General Election (GE15).

Tanah Merah youth chief Ikmal Hazlan Ikmal Hisham said the party had yet to formalise their manifesto and could not reveal its plan for Kelantan at the moment.

He responded to Sinar Daily in Politically Frank show upon being asked what would make the Kelantanese swerve from Pas to Umno for the next election.

The Umno Youth exco added he was also confident that the Kelantan voters would vote for Umno as they understood the needs of Kelantanese, aside from the party’s hardship and work.

“I know the social impact in Kelantan is important, the infrastructure, the job opportunities, a lot of Kelantan people are going out to find jobs they can’t find in Kelantan.

“So, in the Kelantan economy there’s no tremendous increment, no generating revenue for the state, there’s no progressive policy.

“I think there’s a lot of issues to tackle if Umno and BN were to take the Kelantan state government,” he said.

Apart from that, he said major issues such as social, water, facilities and infrastructure problems remained to pervade in Kelantan.

Previously, Umno almost won over Kelantan during the leadership of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and by looking at the current state of Kelantan, he was confident Umno stands a higher chance to win over the state in the upcoming election.
