Father of teen actress remanded for seven days

SUBANG JAYA – The father of a teenage actress has been remanded for seven days following allegations that he had sexually harassed her.
Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the 43-year old suspect was arrested around 2.25pm in Kedah.
“The suspect who was arrested was the father of the victim. Police have also confiscated the mobile phone of the suspect.
"It will be sent to the police's forensic department for analysis," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said checks showed that the suspect did not have past criminal records.
“The suspect was also tested negative for drugs," he said.
On Monday, a 15-year old actress lodged a police report at 10.25pm over claims that she had been sexually harassed by her father.
It was reported that the suspect had also lodged a police report at the Bandar baharu police station in Kedah following the revelation by his daughter on YouTube.
