Leaked court judgments: Investigation papers returned to police
KUALA LUMPUR - The police have submitted the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) over claims of a leaked court judgement involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said both investigation papers were then returned to the police for further investigations.
“The investigation paper regarding the leaked judgment involving Najib was submitted to the DPP on Aug 30 and Sept 5 but it was returned back to us.
"The investigation paper on the leaked judgment involving Rosmah was submitted on Aug 30 and it was also returned," he said at a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Contingent Police Headquarters on Tuesday.
Azmi said the police have recorded the statements of 17 individual regarding the leaked judgement claims which involved the Pekan MP while 10 individuals were called to provide their statements over the document involving Rosmah.
"We are not ruling out the possibility that they will be called again to have their statements recorded,” he said.
On Friday it was reported that the Sentul district police chief Assistant Commissioner Beh Eng Lai said police have recorded the statement of several individuals over the leaked judgement claims in Rosmah’s corruption trial involving the solar hybrid project worth RM1.25 billion for rural schools in Sarawak.
Previously, on Aug 24, it was reported that police received reports of a viral document that was claimed to be the decision of Najib's appeal.
The report was made by the a court officer at the Putrajaya district police headquarters on Aug 23.
