SHAH ALAM - PKR has not decided on the candidates to represent the party as it is still at the negotiation stage with other Pakatan Harapan (PH) component parties for the distribution of seat quotas in the 15th General Election (GE15).

PKR deputy information chief Chua Wei Kiat said negotiations were going well for the last two to three weeks.

Wei Kiat said he hoped the matter could be resolved as soon as possible to launch the opposition bloc's preparations for GE15.

"There are no candidates for PKR yet because it is necessary to resolve the seat negotiation issue in the PH component first, then the party will discuss the candidate.

"In my view, it is better that the candidates are announced early so that the work and all preparations can be completed early before Parliament is dissolved," he said on Sunday.

Asked if the announcement of early candidates could cause sabotage issues among party members, he said that the matter was inevitable.

"Late or early announcement, there will definitely be groups who will not be satisfied, it is just that when it is announced early we can be ready.

"So far, PKR is in a good state after the polls is over, everyone agrees with the results.
