Govt has disbursed almost RM565.621mln under BBKM in Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR - The federal government has disbursed almost all of the RM565.621 million allocation under the Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family) Flood Aid Programme (BBKM) as of last week said Selangor Development Action Council (MTPNg) chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Mohamed Azmin who is Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry said that the BBKM programme provided comprehensive assistance including automotive assistance, compassionate cash aid (BWI), aid of basic necessities (BBKA) and Home Repair Assistance (BPR).

Apart from the affected household heads, he said aid was also provided for entrepreneurs.

"BBKM was designed to help the people and the state of Selangor as they were greatly affected by the major flood in December 2021," he said through a tweet on his Twitter page after the MTPNg meeting today.

During the meeting, Mohamed Azmin said he also shared about the platform provided for state governments to submit applications with priority given toward generating sustainable development and progress and bridging the gap between urban and rural development in line with environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
