SHAH ALAM - PKR Deputy President Rafizi Ramli claims the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad is ‘scared’ to file a lawsuit against him, despite being challenged to do so.

Rafizi made the remarks after the Mersing MP made a police report on the disclosure made by Rafizi on him and a woman named Zainab Mohd Salleh, claimed to be Latiff’s wife involved in the scandalous Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) project.

"He (Latiff) is scare of a lawsuit, so (he) made a police report, there is no need to show evidence (and I) hope the police focus on the issue of Zainab whether she is his wife, not the issue of ‘stealing’ the money.

"But we have also made a police report about the embezzled money. The police can now investigate the connection between him and the stolen money case as well," he said in a post on Twitter, today.

On Tuesday night, a police report was made by Latiff’s Special Officer Sayed Ahmad Mui'izzuddin Al-Sayed Mohamad against Rafizi.

Sayed Ahmad Mui'izzuddin said the report was made in relation to Rafizi's statement which linked the Mersing MP with a woman named Zainab whom Rafizi claimed was Latiff’s wife, involved in the LCS project embezzlement.

Rafizi previously challenged Latiff to file a lawsuit against him if all the allegations were untrue.
