Former Pas leader upset by Pas members celebrating Najib's incarceration

SHAH ALAM - Kuala Nerus MP Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali condemned several Pas members who celebrated the incarceration of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Khairuddin said his friends in the party should remember that Najib had facilitated the allocation for Kelantan before 2018, which was something that had never been done by any previous prime ministers before.

“I see that there are still people in Pas who enjoy themselves over Najib's misfortune even though Mursyidul Aam has given guidelines to the members on the court issue.

“I think my friends in Pas need to be reminded that Najib has facilitated the allocation for Kelantan before 2018, something that did not happen in the previous PM's era.

“Najib also mobilised the tabling of Bill 355 which was presented by ‘Tuan Guru’ president in the parliament.

“Najib also gave space to Pas to perform in a major world-level program involving 200 world-renowned scholars at the MyAqsa Festival in Putrajaya so that the President could give the keynote address,” he said in his Facebook post today.

He added that, in Terengganu, Umno government also paved the way with the instruction of Najib for Pas to hold big programs including the Fastaqim Gathering in Tok Jembal in September 2017 which brought together over 300,000 Pas members nationwide.

“When some Pas leaders personally faced health problems, Najib also personally helped as a national leader,” he said.

Khairuddin said he had to condemn their action as he wanted the party members to sympathise with those tested by misfortune, especially those who had shown kindness.

“(Because) we are taught by the Quran ‘don't forget the kindness of your neighbour’,” he added.
