PUTRAJAYA - Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said political cooperation from the opposition in facing the 15th General Election (GE15) is needed for the country’s future.

He said Malaysia should not fall into he hands of the parties involved in issues of kleptocracy, corruption and abuse of power.

"I read that PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli rejected PN's (cooperation) offer, but that’s alright, we accept the view,” he said.

He said leaders of political parties should have the courage to unite the people and offer something better.

"I leave it to the political leadership whether they think about politics or the country," he said in a press conference after chairing the National Recovery Council meeting, here on Monday.

Muhyiddin said the people wanted to see the effort to unify political parties.
