SHAH ALAM - Hundreds of Datuk Seri Najib Razak's supporters are still at Istana Negara believed to appeal to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to issue a royal pardon for the former prime minister.

Najib was sentenced to Kajang Prison yesterday after the Federal Court denied his appeal and upheld his sentence in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case.

Supporters were believed to have gathered to deliver #JusticeforNajibRazak memorandum which is said delivered about an hour ago.

They were at the gates of Istana since 1.30pm today continuously chanting "Boss Ku" or my boss, a slogan made famous in 2018 when Najib started his nationwide tour visiting rural and urban folks to gain momentum for fallen Barisan Nasional.

One of the supporters, Fatimah, 62 told Sinar Daily: “We appreciate the act of kindness from him (Najib), but now it is as if all of that has disappeared.

“I have been following him from the beginning of his career so what happened to him is not fair,” she added.

Persatuan Sahabat Ulul Amri Malaysia (Psuam) president Syed Muhammad Imran Syed Abdul Aziz has asked the rakyat to stand up against injustice.

“If a former prime minister like him is sent to prison, then trust me Malaysia will be one of the worst countries in the world.
