‘Bossku does not end here’, Najib’s daughter says
SHAH ALAM - The daughter of former Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed her utmost disappointment over her father's final appeal result today.
Nooryana Najwa Najib and her family hoped for a positive result from the Federal Court but the justice system crushed their hope.
"I'm sorry daddy, maybe we didn't fight hard enough, maybe we placed our fullest trust in our justice system.
"Maybe we believed too whole-heartedly in our cause and purpose so we stood defiant these past four years.
"Yet you did not get your day of justice today, neither did we stand a fighting chance.
“But Bossku does not end here," she said in a post on her Instagram account after the verdict.
Nooryana also said that her father did not gain any justice today but that did not stop his family from fighting for a chance.
"I will hold onto your parting words of wisdom with me everyday, they can control everything but they cannot control your emotions and strength of mind," she said.
The Federal Court today dismissed Najib Razak's final appeal to set aside his conviction, jail sentence and fine imposed over the SRC International case.
Following the decision, the former prime minister was ordered to serve 12 years in prison and pay the fine of RM210 million.
