SHAH ALAM - The investigation paper on the case involving Court of Appeal judge Datuk Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali is not with the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC).

According to a report by the Malay Mail, this was confirmed by the Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun when met at the Malaysian Family Symposium at the Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC) on Sunday.

"(The investigation paper) is not with us. I do not know. It is not with us," he was reported to have said.

In May, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) confirmed that the investigation paper had been submitted to the AGC.

MACC said the investigation paper was submitted on May 18 after it had completed its investigations into the alleged unexplained wealth involving Nazlan.

The investigation paper was opened after Nazlan lodged a police report denying the allegations made by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin regarding the alleged amount of money that could not be determined in the former’s account.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the investigation was a normal procedure after the anti-graft agency received an official report.
