KUALA LUMPUR – PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli has asked Barisan Nasional to state its prime minister candidate as the party is embroiled in the controversial littoral combat ship (LCS) scandal allegedly involving BN leaders.

He claimed the LCS project was under Datuk Seri Najib Razak era as the finance minister and Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as the defence minister from 2009 to May 2013 before the post was taken over by Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein from May 2013 until May 10 2018.

“They used to be proud and ask who will be the PM if Pakatan Harapan (PH) won general elections, now we want to ask them, who is BN’s presidential candidate?

“Najib still wants to be the prime minister, he is confident that he can be. Zahid also feels the same.. Wouldn’t the current prime minister now Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri wants that as well?” he asked.

Also present at the opening ceremony of Ayuh Malaysia campaign were PKR vice presidents - Nurul Izzah Anwar and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

The campaign is a platform for PKR to tour parliament and state seats to create awareness of current issues and to woo voters to come out to vote in GE15.

Rafizi said PH will not make the same mistakes again of they were given the mandate to govern the country again.

He said PH needs about two to three months to convince the rakyat. "If Ismail Sabri announces GE this October, with God’s will, we will be prepared.

He reminded Malaysians that the country will be bod down with more corruption if nothing is done.
