SHAH ALAM – Malaysia recorded 2,793 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, this includes five imported cases.

So far 4,717,263 local infections have been reported since the pandemic began.

Six deaths were reported with one brought in dead (BID). Currently, 96.4 per cent or 39,417 of Covid-19 patients are quarantined at home.

There are 1,379 patients or 3.4 per cent hospitalised with 26 in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 39 requiring ventilation support.

There were 4,669 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours.
