Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia kicks off in Selangor

SHAH ALAM - 'Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia' (AKM) continue its tour in Selangor starting today (Aug 19) until Sunday at Shah Alam Stadium.

The programme was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob together with Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar.

Through the programme, it offers over 23,106 job opportunities through 'Jamin Kerja Keluarga Malaysia' career carnival with over 90 employers.

Ismail Sabri in his speech said that Keluarga Malaysia came up with an initiative to combat inflation by allocating the subsidy of RM77.3 billion which is the largest subsidiary allocation in history.

The subsidies, according to Ismail Sabri, include fuel, LPG, cooking oil, flour and electricity.

"The policy was made to curb inflation to avoid sudden price increase as well as helping Keluarga Malaysia who are in need of social welfare assistance, agriculture assistance, fishermen and so on," he said at the programme.

He also highlighted that Malaysia had recorded strong trade growth in the wholesale and retail industry with 44 per cent (RM132.8 billion) in June 2022.

This, he said, was the highest since 2013.
