Sabah Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry permanent secretary Zainudin Aman said in this regard, the state government would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CyberSecurity Malaysia in the near future.
"We recently visited CyberSecurity Malaysia with the State Computer Services Department and Sabah Net as one of our efforts to ensure that the public service improves its ICT skills.
"Also, to prevent cyber attacks aimed at all Sabah government’s websites, applications and systems,” he told reporters after attending the district-level State Public Sector ICT Seminar 2022 here today.
Elaborating, Zainudin said the MoU also aimed at providing training for experts in Sabah in the field of forensics and cyber security.
"We are trying to ensure that these experts can be trained and placed in every ministry in preparation to face any threat from cyber enemies.
"The threat is there, but it is still under control. That’s why we are in the phase of intensifying our strength so that no one can cause damage to the state government’s applications or systems,” he said. - BERNAMA
