No element of gangsterism in MRSM Kuantan case - Police
KUANTAN - There are no elements of gangsterism in the alleged bully case in Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Kuantan. the police say/
District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said this was revealed in the initial investigation conducted by the police following the report made by the student's mother.
"The initial investiation showed no elements of gangsterism in the incident," he said.
Wan Zahari said the police received two reports in connection to the case, lodged by the victim's mother and a MRSM warden.
However, he said the case was investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief.
On Friday, police tracked down a post uploaded on a Facebook account which claimed of bully case and gangsterism culture which took place in MRSM Kuantan.
The post gained the attention of netizens and it had received up to 10,000 comments and 22,000 shares.
The Kuantan police advised the public to not arbitrarily upload or share any posts that may cause panic among the community.
