Nation records 3,943 Covid-19 cases, four fatalities in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 3,943 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 with over 1,577 hospitalised, according to data published by the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, over 66 patients were held in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 45 patients out of the number required ventilator support.

The nation also recorded another four deaths due to Covid-19 with one brought-in-dead (BID) cases in the last 24 hours, which brought the total death toll to 43,738 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there were 45,375 active cases with 43,701 (96.3 per cent) under home quarantine.

Klang Valley and Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections with 2,191and 1,281 respectively in the last seven days.

The country has recorded 4,728,168 Covid-19 cases in total since the pandemic began.
