Former Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim dies
SHAH ALAM - Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has passed away tonight.
The former Selangor Menteri Besar died at the Cardiac Vascular Sentral Hospital in Kuala Lumpur at 11.08pm on Sunday.
The news was shared through his official Facebook page.
"We are sad to inform that Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has passed away at 11.08pm tonight at the Cardiac Vascular Sentral Hospital.
"He passed away peacefully with his family members by his side," wrote the admin of the page.
According to the posting, Khalid was admitted to the hospital since April 23 due to an infection in the heart valve.
His remains will be taken to the Saidina Umar Al Khattab Mosque in Bukit Damansara in Kuala Lumpur for funeral prayers.
He will then be brought to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque for those who want to pay their last respect and perform funeral prayers.
According to the posting, Khalid's remains will be buried at the Shah Alam Royal Mausoleum by order and grace of Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj.
Khalid is survived by his wife, four children and two grandchildren.
