MARANG - The Perikatan Nasional coalition is in the midst of discussing seat distribution among its five parties to enable party machinery to start working on the ground, said its chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Pas, Bersatu, Gerakan, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) and Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) are part of the coalition.

"We have made a decision in the last PN meeting also attended by Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang that we do not want to delay (the planning).

"We want to negotiate and resolve the distribution of seats nationwide. We will be tolerant and it can be resolved.

"Bersatu must help Pas win since in Bersatu areas, Pas helps Bersatu win and another reason is that we are already under one PN coalition," he said when speaking at the Terengganu PN launch ceremony at Rusila Mosque, here, last Saturday night.

Present were PN Secretary General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, State PN Liaison Board Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, State Bersatu Leadership Body Head Datuk Razali Idris as well as key leaders of other component parties.

Muhyiddin added PN is not only aiming for victory in the state but also setting the main target to win at the federal level, including Terengganu, Kelantan and Kedah," he said.

Muhyiddin also hinted that PN will compete in all or part of the seats that has been allocated.
