SHAH ALAM - "Please keep Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in your prayers as he undergoes treatment", his former political secretary Faekah Husin pleads in a Facebook posting.

She said she had the opportunity to visit the former Selangor Menteri Besar yesterday at the hospital.

During the visit, she said Khalid's wife Puan Sri Salbiah Tunut sat by his bedside, but she however did not get the chance to talk to her former boss as the nurse was about to start his treatment.

Faekah said she inadvertently felt her chest become heavy and felt a sense of sorrow and sadness as the Quran recitation was being played in the room.

"Ya Allah, if there is any good that I do and with Your permission, I would like to bestow its goodness to this noble person.

"The man we all miss his cheerfulness and detailed thoughts and ideas.

"Ya Allah, may all treatment matters be smooth and simplified. Return him to us for us to worship, prostrate and istighfar (seek forgivenes) to You. Give the best for him in this world and in the hereafter. Aamiin ya rabbal aa la miin," she wrote in the post.

On May 16, Faekah shared a photo of Abdul Khalid being wheeled into an operating theatre for a heart surgery at a hospital.

She said he had safely underwent a heart valve surgery and was in a stable condition, but he was in critical state within 48 hours post-surgery.
